The Process

Having a dream is easy. Anyone can do it. But turning a creative dream into reality is where most of us struggle. What works wonderfully in your mind’s eye, may not translate so well into the shape of your home and your lifestyle.

Planning, designing and fitting a new kitchen can be a complex and long drawn out process. Your kitchen is the heart of your home and a new kitchen can significantly change the shape of it. Your life centres around this space and it is crucial to get it exactly right.

At David Lisle Kitchens, I use a one to one, step by step design process in order to fully understand what it is that you want. I will work closely with you to determine how to best interpret your vision and your way of life in order to deliver the perfect kitchen for you.

Understanding what you want and how your new kitchen will fit into your lifestyle is of primary importance so I start the design process by visiting your home. This enables me to get a feel for how you want to (and how you can) use your space.

I will then sit down with you to discuss ideas and concepts and produce freehand sketches of what is really important to you, both aesthetically and functionally. This will then be brought to life in beautiful illustrations of how your kitchen will look, as well as showing you how ideas will work in context.

I work very closely with you to explore the range of materials, textures, styles and unique finishes available and learn about the expert craftmanship used to to bring your unique vision to fruition.

We plan and manage the whole process meticulously in order to ensure things happen when and how they should, causing minimal disruption to your life and making sure your kitchen dream becomes a reality and not a nightmare.
